Disney Books for Disney Fans

Disney books are a great gift for any Disney lover or a great gift for yourself! Especially now when we are more removed from the parks and might not get back to the actual magic for awhile.

One Day at Disney

One Day at Disney show what it is like to work every day for the Walt Disney Company. This gift is perfect for anyone who enjoys the show and wants to hear more behind the scenes stories.

Ink & Paint

Ink & Paint was released in 2017 and has quickly become one of the more fascinating books I have read about Walt Disney. It focuses on the female artists that developed the magic of Mickey and brought it to life over the years. Looking into Disney’s past and the women who helped transform some of our favorite stories, it is incredibly interesting.

Walt Disney’s Mickey Mouse

Walt Disney’s Mickey Mouse: The Ultimate History is a new book in celebration of Mickey’s 90th birthday. While it is more expensive than most books, it is one of the most expansive illustrated publications on the Disney universe. If you want the entire history from classics or want to learn more about unfinished projects, this book has everything.

LIFE Walt Disney: From Mickey to Magic Kingdom

LIFE Walt Disney: From Mickey to the Magic Kingdom covers how a small-town farm boy became a household name with the mouse that started it all. LIFE magazine has been covering Disney for years, including the launch of Walt Disney World. Learn more about how Walt Disney built the happiest place on earth.

The Revised Vault of Walt

The Revised Vault of Walt gives you a look into little-known stories about Walt Disney, Disney films, and the Disney theme parks. You get a different perspective from people who have actually lived it!

The Ride of a Lifetime

One of the most fitting titles I’ve ever seen. It was named one of the best books of the year by NPR and is a New York Times Bestseller. It covers what he learned over his 15 years as the CEO at Disney and provides inspiration for others.

Hamilton: The Revolution

Hear me out! While it isn’t technically Disney, it is on Disney+ so I’m counting it. Plus I have this and highly recommend it for anyone similarly obsessed with Hamilton. Hamilton: The Revolution is written by Lin Manuel-Miranda himself and gives you an inside look into the creation of the musical. You’ll learn about his decision for lyrics, styles and staging in the show, and more!

Entertaining with Disney

Entertaining with Disney allows you to bring the fun and magic right into your own home. It includes recipes, party planning guides, decoration ideas, and more!

Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World

This is the third edition of Hidden Magic. It is a great book for even the most seasoned Disney veteran to learn more hidden facts about the parks! Helps keep the magic alive even if you can’t make it into the parks themselves.

Hidden Mickey’s of Walt Disney World

Hidden Mickeys are one of the fun things to search for throughout all of Disney. Whether you are able to visit the park this year, or are pushing it off until things go back to “normal,” you can learn all about where to find the hidden Mickeys throughout the parks.

Drinking at Disney

I am a big believer that going to Disney without children is just as much fun as going when you are a kid. The bars aren’t the only reason, but if you enjoy a good cocktail, exploring lounges, or more adult entertainment, this book is great! Learn about what drinks are the underrated, which bars to hit, and more!

Since the World Began

Since the World began is all about Disney in the first 25 years. It is from 1996 so it is interesting to see where Disney World was at during that time versus where it currently is now.
