Disney Weekly Updates: November 9, 2018

SHARE YOUR EARS IS BACK!

Disney made an announcement during Mickey’s 90th Spectacular Sunday, that they will once again be inviting everyone to #shareyourears. This is the third year Disney is teaming up with Make-A-Wish to raise money for the charity.

From now until November 17, 2018, all you have to do is take a photo with your “Mickey Mouse Ears.” The reason it is in quotes is that they don’t have to be the standard ears! You can get creative and use anything. Take two donuts and pose or two soccer balls! Anything you can think of. Upload your photo to Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter and for every public post using that includes #ShareYourEars, Disney will donate $5 to Make-A-Wish, up to $2 million.

Disney knows how much we all love social media and photo walls, so they added them in on the fun! If you are going to Disneyland, Walt Disney World, or Disneyland Paris you will find “ear walls” designed to give you a great backdrop to share your ears from!

Hong Kong Disneyland has photo frames for you to use on Main Street USA. The Disney Cruise Line isn’t left out either! They will have special photo ops throughout the Disney cruise ships.

Toy Story Land is Ready For The Holidays

It was announced previously that Toy Story Land will get in on the holiday fun this year. Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie will all dress up for the season, but they won’t look out of place because the land is getting a holiday makeover!

This week they unveiled some of the first looks at what to expect. They added oversized popcorn-and-cranberry garland to Woody’s Lunch Box. There is a Hamm sugar cookie that is about 10 feet tall. Rex got some cardboard antlers and they added Green Alien ornaments outside Alien Swirling Saucers! There will be more added as the season progresses as well.

The decor and characters aren’t the only way to feel the holiday spirit in Toy Story Land. You will now hear sleigh bells on Slinky Dog Dash and two holiday tracks will play at Alien Swirling Saucers. Take a look below for a first look at the holidays in Toy Story Land!
