I Wine Because I’m Not At Disney Wine Glass DIY

I wine because I’m not at Disney is basically my current state in all of 2020. Just like everyone else, any plans I had for travel, Disney or otherwise, were canceled and postponed. Time to get creative with how to entertain yourself at home right?

This adorable wine tumbler is easy to make and super cute!

Materials:

You can grab the design here to make your tumbler (or use it for anything you’d like).

Directions for Wine Tumbler

    1. Upload the design to Cricut Design Space.
    2. Resize the design to 2.5″ H.
    3. I personally made the text white and the Mickey Mouse head red, but you can change it up however you’d like!
    4. Cut out the design on Oracle 651 vinyl which is permanent outdoor vinyl so it will stick to the tumbler even when you wash it. Select the appropriate setting for your machine, for Cricut set it to the vinyl cut setting.
    5. Once cut, carefully take your vinyl off the mat. It helps to try and peel the mat so it bends, instead of bending the vinyl to remove it.
    6. Cut down the vinyl to just the design so you can easily remove the excess vinyl.
    7. Using the weeding tool, carefully remove all excess vinyl that is not part of the design.
    8. Cut out a piece of the transfer tape to the correct size of the design.
    9. Remove the back paper of the tape and carefully place the sticky side of the transfer tape on to the design. You can use a credit card or a Cricut tool called the scraper to smooth the air pockets out of the design so it goes on smoothly.
    10. Peel the vinyl off from its paper backing.
    11. Carefully align the design to where you would like it to go on the tumbler. Once it is where you want, push down on the center area and slowly work your way out by adhering the rest of the design.
    12. Once you have the entire design adhered to the tumbler, slowly peel away the transfer tape. You don’t want to go too fast in case some of the design isn’t completely attached to the tumbler yet.
    13. Enjoy your tumbler!
